The design and development Process.

  1. Initial Consultation.

    Before starting a project I will consult with you to assess your needs. The initial consultation serves to answer questions such as :

    • What is your target audience ?
    • What message are you trying to put across?
    • What kind of a website do you need?
    • How much money do you have available for this project?

     

    After the initial consultation, if you wish to work with me, you must read and sign and send back the contract that I will give you.

  2. Domain Names and Web Hosting.

    Once your needs and the scope of the project have been clearly defined,  the next step is choosing appropriate domain names and hosting for you. I do not sell hosting or domain names but I can purchase them for you if you want, or we can provide you with VPS hosting recommendations.

    (this does not apply if I am redesigning your website and you already have a domain and hosting)

  3. Graphic Design : the way your website looks.

    I will then set about designing the graphics for your website. You must tell me if you have any recommendations as to colours, style etc. Also you can show me websites that you like so that I can refer to these when designing yours.

    At this stage it would be helpful if you could provide me with the content you intend to put on your website (photos, text, logos etc...). Alternatively I can create content for you. For example, if you do not have a logo yet, I can create one for you.

    It is likely that I will show you several different graphic designs from which you can choose from.

  4. Coding and Programming.

    Then I take the final graphic design you selected and the website content and I create the XTHML web pages and CSS stylesheets.

    The programming needed to add the requested features to your website is also completed and tested as is site navigation (menus, Sitemap etc.)

  5. Finishing Stages.

    I do an overall check of your website to eliminate any broken links, missing images etc.

    I Make sure the site is fully functional in different web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari,Opera, Chrome ).

    I make sure that the site is completely search engine friendly (titles, headings, descriptions ...)

  6. Payment and Site Launch.

    At this stage I send you my final invoice.

    Once you have payed the whole of my bill I launch the site (make it available on your domain) and submit it to search engines.
